Title:
SDC Teacher
Jayme Selevan

Admittedly, I was pretty lost the day I graduated college and had to enter the “real world”. But, one place that I knew would always be home was my alma mater, Los Altos School District. And in Los Altos, I have found my true passion in the field of special education. After 6 years teaching 4th grade, general education, I decided it was time for a change and the right moment to pursue the next step in my career: the world of special education. Working as the upper elementary Moderate/Severe special education teacher at Covington Elementary School, I have found my calling in the spirit of my students. My students inspire me to face challenges, think outside the box, and be authentic. I received my BA from University of Colorado at Boulder, Multiple Subject teaching credential at Notre Dame de Namur University, and Mod/Severe Special Education credential in our county’s home EPIC program. In my free time, you’re likely to find me redecorating any space I can get my hands on, spending time with my family, or on the pilates reformer and spin bike!
