It was around the age of 5 when I began dreaming about being just like my first grade teacher, Mrs. B. I would regularly line up my dolls and stuffed animals to give them their daily lessons. As I got older, I began to struggle in school and felt that dream begin to slip from my fingers. It wasn’t until many years later, when I volunteered in a 5th grade classroom, that I realized that there were many students out there just like me and that these were exactly the type of students that I could connect with and help. I immediately enrolled in the teaching credential program at National University and soon after completed a Masters in Education. Since 2005, I’ve taught kindergarten, first and second grade in LASD and have loved every minute of it. I currently live in Gilroy with my husband, Kevin and my two children, Colton (9) and Kamryn (4). I enjoy spending time at the beach, hiking, dancing, doing arts and crafts and hanging out with my friends and family. I look forward to another wonderful year working with the fabulous students, families and staff in LASD!
