Taryn Almstead

I am thrilled to be teaching second grade at Covington again! I received my Bachelor’s degree in sociology from the University of California, Irvine, and my Master’s in Teaching from the University of Washington. During my teaching career, I have taught first through third grade. For me, the highlights of teaching include connecting with students, learning together, and fostering a love of reading. When I am not teaching, I enjoy reading, baking, traveling, and spending time with my family. I am looking forward to a wonderful school year.
